Running errands in New York City is always an exhausting endeavor, especially when wearing wedges. Although I am a veteran at walking in heels, my feet were absolutely killing me at the end of the day. But, pain is love and my love for heels makes the pain worthwhile. I must disclose that sometimes, I carry flats in my bag, just incase. These wedges from Top Shop are actually pretty comfortable and extremely versatile.
When I don't expect to do a lot of walking, I usually wear heels or wedges. Well, expectations are expectations for a reason : / Yesterday a few friends and I were at the beautiful Caumsette park on Long Island and to check out the last of the fall foliage and horses that are located there. I wore the same shoes because I wasn't expecting to walk that much. But once we got there, we noticed all of these beautiful trails. Being in the exploring mood, we ended up walking until we had no clue where we were. Luckily, there was a map which told us that we are only a mile from the parking lot.... thank you!!! Well, after another fifteen minutes of walking, we came across another sign that said the same thing, "one mile to parking lot." Long story short, I walked four miles in wedges! To look at it as an optimist, extra calories burned! Pictures will follow !
In the pictures, I chose to wear a white sweater (which reminds me of winter) with a faux fur vest (which reminds me of fall). Think of it like I know that winter is around the corner but I am not ready to leave Fall behind. Only a few more days until fall becomes a distant memory : (
I felt chic and cool in my outfit and you can easily do it when you add one piece like this faux-fur vest or a big scarf to spice up your look!
