[easy-image-collage id=1371] It’s time to put away the bathing suits, shorts, sandals and light tops. The fall’s upon us and it’s about to get cold. Every year there are some great fall classics that you absolutely must have ready in your wardrobe, but there are lots of great new trends for 2015 that you should take a look at, too.  We have compiled a list of the top 10 items of clothing and accessories you need this fall, spanning the classics to modern pieces that we know you’re going to love.

Rain Boots - Hunter brand

Okay, so this is definitely a classic. Whether you’re out in the countryside or in the city, rain boots are always a great idea. They protect you from mud and dirt, and keep your feet warm and dry no matter the weather.  Hunter Boot Ltd has been making the original rubber Wellington boot for over 150 years now, originally manufacturing in Edinburgh, Scotland and now producing the boots for markets all over the world. The company is known as one of the very best makers of wellington boots, and today they create a wide variety of boots that match lots of different styles. No matter your style, you can be sure to find a Hunter rain boot that suits you.

Original Short Refined Gloss Wellington Boot

The classic wellington boot rides quite high up the leg, but the original short refined gloss wellington boot maintains the style without the height. The boot comes in classic black rubber with a convenient strap at the top, allowing you to contour the boot to your calf.

The curve on the toe has also been completely redesigned, making it a little more square and more like a traditional boot. The sole has also been specially moulded to keep the traditional appearance but improve the fit and comfort. It’s the perfect outdoor boot and looks great with black jeans – but more on that later!

The Original Refined Gloss Wellington Boot costs just a little more and features the traditional height of a wellington boot. The toe has been redesigned, as with the short version, along with the soul and moulded fit. There’s the classic strap at the top top, making it perfect for wading through deep water or just keeping dry on a particularly rainy day.

Other varieties

Hunter offers a number of other varieties of boot, including:

  • Women’s Original Ankle Boots
  • Women’s Original Mid Wedge Boots
  • Women’s Original Low Wedge Wellington Boots
  • Women’s Original Chelsea Boots

…and many more! Staying dry in the rain can be stylish, and Hunter is one of the best brands for it.

Diesel Jean Jacket

Diesel jackets are legendary, and a good denim jacket is an essential fall style. Diesel offers quite a few different varieties of denim jacket, all with their own unique take on the traditional style. Take a look at two of the most popular denim jackets by Diesel for this fall.

The De-Wild Diesel denim jacket is one of their more traditional styles. It is a slim-cut garment that rides high above the hips, and full-length, traditional sleeves. There are of course two pockets on the breast and buttons down the front. There are styled seams running up and down the front and back of the medium-blue denim jacket.  There is also a nice little twist with the collar, which is black.  The De-Red denim jacket is so pale it’s practically white. It features a button strap collar, and two pockets much like the De-Wild. The cuffs are a slightly darker color, and are torn to look worn and aged. It’s a great twist on a classic style.

Black skinny Jeans

Black skinny jeans are one of the most versatile pieces of clothing you can enjoy during fall. They go with almost anything, including Hunter boots (see, I said I’d get back to that!). Hunter rain boots can be matched with a stylish Diesel denim jacket and a pair of skinny-fit black jeans. You can mix it up by wearing the Hunter wedge boots in a bright color, or stay dark with the traditional black boot.  These skinny jeans can also be combined with a stylish long coat, shorter formal jackets and, well, pretty much anything you can think of. You don’t have to spend a fortune on them either.

Boyfriend jeans

Boyfriend jeans are back in. Not only are they comfortable, but you can mix and match them with lots of different accessories, tops and shoes to look stylish. They’re the perfect addition to your wardrobe thanks to their new-found versatility.  One great look is combining a tailored jacket and a dark top. The tailored jacket contrasts with the baggy jeans creating a smart casual look. Complete the outfit with a pair of formal shoes and a contrasting handbag, and you’re good to go.

Yoga pants

Yoga pants are more than just a comfortable around-the-house garment, or the perfect companion when you’re training – they can be used to create a timeless autumn look.  Try combining black yoga pants with a pair of classic Hunter boots in brown, and top it off with a comfy sweater in earthy tones. It’s the perfect fall look, combining comfort with casual style.

Pencil skirts

Pencil skirts are back, and this time they’re out of the board room. These skirts have been seen on the runway this year, ranging from rubber and neoprene offerings to more traditional wool and tweed. In fact, some even combine traditional fabrics with rubber trims, making these a surprisingly futuristic addition to a classic fall wardrobe.  Mix with a denim or leather jacket and you’re good to go.

A figure-hugging dress

Just because it’s autumn doesn’t mean you have to be casual all the time. The long, figure-hugging dress is popular this year, with the likes of Kim Kardashian showing offer her curves with stylish, yet simple, dresses.  You’ll find a plethora of simple, single-colored dresses around, with amazing offerings from Calvin Klein and Burberry. You don’t have to spend a fortune, though. Just head on down to the high street stores and you’ll find plenty, in lots of autumnal colors.

Baggy sweaters

You can’t get through fall without a thick, comfortable dress. Choose something baggy and you can do even more with it. A traditional woollen sweater can look great with a pair of black jeans and boots, but it’s not exactly very modern. If you’re looking to be a little more on-trend, try a longer woollen jumper that can be worn like a dress, over yoga pants or dark trousers and jeans.

The Belt

The belt is a key accessory for many outfits. Take a long woollen sweater for instance. You can instantly transform a traditional and, let’s be honest, boring look into something stylish and on-trend. Take a light woollen jumper that’s baggy and drops way below the hips, and combine it with a brown leather belt.  Tucking in the sweater at the hips, and combined with skinny jeans, looks fantastic throughout fall and winter.

Ankle boots

Finally, you need a boot that’s going to look great – and it doesn’t have to be a wellington boot. Rain boots are great for extreme weather, but on the days where the only thing you’ll be walking through are fallen leaves, a good ankle boot will do.  Hermes has some great boots, but their most popular pair costs over $1,000. You can find plenty of great pairs in most fashion stores. A black pair will go with almost everything, but a brown pair is far more autumnal.

Honorable mentions: A Black Leather Jacket, High Top Nikes, Fashionable Poncho, Beanie, Knee High Suede Boots, Adidas Superstars, Converse All Stars.

So whatever your look, you can stay warm, comfortable and stylish this fall. Try a combination of some of the above, or combine some of your favorite accessories with some new tops, jeans and jackets. There’s no reason to be boring when it’s cold outside!
